Vanessa holds both a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from CUNY Hunter College. She also holds a professional certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Parsons School of Design, The New School. Vanessa values Black feminist frameworks and utilizes her degree in Sociology, Community Organizing training, and Critical Race Theory to guide her consulting services.

Vanessa has been featured in Huff Post discussing racial inequality, speaking engagements with the Women’s Jewelry Association on inclusion, and presented her published research, Nonclinical best practices for creating LGBTQ-inclusive care environments: A scoping review of gray literature to various organizations.

Vanessa offers DEI consulting services that provides health talks, DEI trainings, and team building activities. She has worked with HR departments in government entities, corporations, as well as, large organizations and small businesses.
